How to apply EWS certificate


The Central Government has recently introduced 10% reservation quota for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) among General Category candidates in government jobs and educational institutions. However, many are unsure about the EWS Reservation Eligibility.

persons whose family owns or possesses any of the following assets shall be excluded from being identified as EWS, irrespective of the family income :
1. 5 acres of agricultural land and above;
2. Residential at of 1000 sq ft. and above;
3. plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities;
4. Residential, plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities
 How to apply for EWS Certificate

Download the EWS Certificate Format.
Fill up all the required information.
Paste a passport size photograph.
Attach all the required documments.
Submit this application to your nearest Tahsil/Block Office.

1. Aadhar Card
2. Income Certificate
3. Caste Certificate
4. Domicile Certificate
5. Property Certificate
6. Passport Size Photo
7. Pan Card
8. Bank Statement
 EWS Certificate Validity 

The EWS Certificate or Economicaly Weaker Section Certificate will be valid for one year.
