Snehapoorvam Scholarship Scheme 2019-20 

Launched by the Government of Kerala, Snehapoorvam Scheme 2019-20 provides financial assistance to orphans who are living in the family, with their relatives, friends, or the support of the community under the Social Welfare Department executed through Social Security Mission. The objective is to uplift these children financially and emotionally

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

Children who have lost either father or mother or both

Students studying in class 1 to those pursuing degree coursesChildren below 5 years of age

Children who belong to the BPL categoryNote: For children belonging to APL category, the annual income should be below INR 20,000 in rural areas (local body/grama panchayat) and INR 22,375 in urban areas (corporation/municipality).

 What are the benefits ?

Children below 5 years and students in class 1 to 5 will receive INR 300 per month

Students in class 6 to 10 will receive INR 500 per month

Students in class 11 and 12 will receive INR 750 per month

Students pursuing degree courses or a professional degree will receive INR 1000 per month

How can you apply ?

Steps to apply:

Step 1: Click here to download the application form

Step 2: Fill the application form

Step 3: Submit the completed application form along with the required documents to the head of Aided or Government institutions (schools or colleges)

Step 4: The head of the institution will verify and submit the application through the online portal to the Executive Director of Kerala Social Security Mission

Note: Children below 5 years of age can directly apply to the Executive Director of Kerala Social Security Mission through the respective child welfare committees.

Bright students among the children of Ex-Servicemen studying from post-metric class to post-graduate and other courses are eligible for scholarships varying from Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 3500/- Eligibility : a) Students who have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the examinations conducted in the previous year. b) Should not be a recipient of any other scholarship. c) Only students attending regular classes in Govt.
